Narrows Ottertail Paddle

$145.00

The Narrows paddle is a sleek interpretation of the ever-classic Ottertail paddle. It's long, narrow blade offers extremely smooth entry into and movement through the water, offering an elegant blend of both power and control. Perfectly suited to deep-water paddling, this blade shape is much beloved by paddlers who prefer finesse over raw-speed.

The Tributary Series of paddles is our take on a few classic canoe paddle blades, with an eye towards both sustainability and affordability without sacrificing either aesthetics or the Sanborn tradition of hand-crafted, quality woodwork. Each Tributary paddle combines fast growing, renewable Aspen, which is then paired with a solid black-walnut center stripe, before being shaped by hand in our shop in Minnesota. Once shaped, it is then giving a striking yet simple paint scheme and then varnished, further protecting the wood and lending it a sleek, modern appearance besides.
