Like the entire Vision family, the Double Vision shares all the design, function, and performance of the solo Visions in a kayak for two. Fun for the whole family this kayak is defined by its excellent stability and straight tracking, making it a great way to introduce younger paddlers to the world of kayaking. Our best-selling tandem kayak, the Double Vision features two keyhole cockpits that are spaced just far enough apart that paddlers won't "bump blades" if they get out of sync. While easily spacious enough for two adults, the relatively shorter length combined with the responsive rudder allows one adult to easily maneuver the kayak on their own with younger paddlers in front. Bow and stern bulkheads mean even in the event of becoming overturned the kayak remains buoyant, an important safety feature especially when paddling on larger rivers, lakes, or the open ocean. These hatches can also be used to stash extra gear or food for a longer day of paddling.

As with the solo models, the Double Vision is constructed from a vacuum bagged composite hybrid layup which allows for an excellent rigidity and toughness, while keeping the weight signifcantly lower than a comparable rotomolded poly kayak. Because of that lighter weight, the improved speed and responsiveness in the water can be felt immediately.

General Information:
Swede Form: Widest behind the cockpit, Swede form has a cleaner, longer, and more slender entry, giving efficient touring speeds and maneuverability. In shorter lengths these kayaks are very responsive. Longer kayaks with this feature have amazing acceleration and track well. Because of the narrow bow they may punch through a steep wave, rather than ride over it.
Hull Form
Soft Chine: A smooth transition from the bottom of the hull to the sides. Soft chines give smooth edging at unlimited angles. The majority of kayaks that we build have a soft chine.

Shallow V: The “V” shape improves tracking, has a lively feel and delivers very comfortable stability.

Keyhole Cockpit: A keyhole cockpit blends the openness of a recreational cockpit and the integrated thigh braces of a touring cockpit. The result is an easy to enter and exit cockpit that offers performance, fit, and solid connectivity to the kayak.
