The Echo is a reprise of our best selling paddle, the Gunflint. Like the Gunflint, the Echo takes its name from a trail through the north woods of Minnesota. Each trail slices through its own section of heaven (aka The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness).

With the same blade dimensions as our best-selling Gunflint paddle, you have plenty of power on tap when it's time to fight the wind and currents. The scooped blade adds a totally new dimension to the paddle, giving more grab in the water. What's more, the composite-reinforced rockguard extends all the way up the blade, providing excellent durability in rocky rivers. Fiberglass reinforced on one side, and carbon fiber reinforcement on the back, means the blade can be thinner, shaving almost 25% of the weight of our standard Gunflint.

The Echo is available with a straight shaft or a 12° degree bent shaft. Both options feature unvarnished grips. An oiled grip feels warmer and smoother in the hands and is less prone to cause blistering. Both versions feature an asymmetrical palm grip; its forward lean helps ensure a secure grip while the soft curves still allow for comfortable rotation in the hand, easing the rotation needed for corrective strokes in the water.
