Choosing A Paddle Length
Whether you're just doing loops around the pond or paddling the entire length of the Mississippi River for 3 months, we at Sanborn believe that a paddle that is sized and fit perfectly to you will reduce discomfort and increase enjoyment in your time on the water. To that end, you can use our paddle sizing method below to help find that paddle that does exactly what you need it to do.
Directions:
1. Sit on a chair with your back straight.
2. Measure from the seat to the middle of your eyes.
3. - For 10-14 degree bent shaft: Add the length of the blade.
- For 5-10 degree bent shaft: Add length of blade plus 2-4”
- For straight shaft: Add length of blade plus 4-6”
That’s it!
