People were originally drawn to the Fever River for the beans that grew wild on its shores. This led the French as Rivière aux Fèves or Bean River. With full stomachs, people turn their minds to bigger things. They gather on the bank at the river town of Galena, watching river boats come and go, dreaming of a freer life.

This design is painted on our Voyageur Heritage Paddle. With an elegantly traditional blade shape these are graceful in and out of the water. They’re perfect for lazy turns around the lake or for gracing the wall of your cabin. Each is a laminated combination of Red Alder, Basswood, and Black Walnut.
