Camps are sacred places, filled to bursting with stories. None more so than Camp Wandawega. Since 1925, people of all stripes have called it their home away from home. It’s long been a place where the city-bound find an escape in the quiet of camp. Even mobsters pursued their liberty on these grounds. At Wandawega, children fly through the air, flung wildly by a rope swung out over the lake and priests raise their hands to offer a blessing. The stories in this place are many and varied and their number is ever growing. This paddle is a celebration of these stories and a shared belief that they are best told between sips of whiskey by the glow of a crackling fire.

This design is painted on our Voyageur Heritage Paddle. With an elegantly traditional blade shape these are graceful in and out of the water. They’re perfect for lazy turns around the lake or for gracing the wall of your cabin. Each is a laminated combination of western red cedar, aspen and black walnut.
